Stewart Crane has represented clients from East and Middle Tennessee for more than 35 years. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV” rating, which is the highest rating awarded by the internationally-recognized independent attorney-rating agency.
Mr. Crane has represented clients in hundreds of adoption cases, serving birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoption agencies. Because of his expertise, he has served on committees which drafted several amendments to Tennessee’s adoption statutes, and he has taught classes for other attorneys on Tennessee adoption law and estate administration.
Mr. Crane limits his practice to the areas of adoptions, estate planning, estate administration (probate), conservatorships and guardianships, and business law, and he accepts other civil matters on a case-by-case basis. He seeks to protect the interests of his clients with cost-effective legal solutions while avoiding, if possible, unnecessary and costly litigation.
Mr. Crane holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a member of the Tennessee, Knoxville, and Loudon County Bar Associations. He and his wife are Tennessee natives and have lived in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area since the 1970’s. They attend Two Rivers Church in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
